All of us are trying to do one thing now. We are trying to preserve our planet by going for the energy resources that are not harmful for the environment. One such thing is the uses of the solar energy .We are using the solar energy now for all our applications nowadays. It is one of the best sources of energy which is renewable as well as free of cost. Solar energy is a form of energy that we have obtained as a gift from the God. So it is our duty to utilize that gift properly.

The solar energy system is used now in many appliances. There are solar batteries which are used to store the energy inside them and utilize them for the working of those appliances. This is very advantageous where we need not waste our money unnecessarily on the batteries that leak as soon as the power goes down. Some of the appliances that work on the solar power are solar calculators, solar cookers, solar water heaters, solar watches etc.

The solar calculators are very famous everywhere. They work on the solar energy. They need not be switched ON .As soon as the light rays fall on them; they will start working and will stop working as soon as the light gets diminished. But the small disadvantage in them is that they will not work in the absence of light.

The solar water heater is one of the best applications of the solar energy. You can heat the water by placing the water inside the heater and keeping it in the terrace where the sunlight falls on the heater. The sunlight falling on the panels in the heater will be converted into heat energy and will heat the water. This system is quite expensive, but the cost of this system is much less than the cost of the bills that you will pay if you are using the electrical water heater.

Similarly the solar watches work on the same principle. The sunlight will fall on the watch and the watch will run. But the problem in these watches is that they cannot without light, and this might affect the time also.

Solar cookers are used to heat the food inside them. You have to keep the food inside the cooker and place it beneath sunlight. After sometime, you can see the food in cooked form. Similarly there are many applications of the solar power which can be used free of cost.
